Her
passion for horses has always been part of her
life and she has ridden, competed and painted them since early
childhood. She keeps several on her farm in Cornwall
where she has a large studio. Horses and other animals feature
in her murals and she has frequently painted them life-size for
commissions both in the UK and abroad. Janet has painted Pegasus
twice – one of the paintings being over 4 metres high. She
has also tackled St George and the Dragon life-size,
and more recently the Legend of Tir na Nog .
She is now in demand not just for her mural painting but also
for her animal portraits and her racing and point to point paintings.
If you are interested in asking her to paint
one of your own animals, please contact her for details of prices
and alternative media.
For the last twelve years she has welcomed
students from all over the world to her studio to improve their
painting skills, with the emphasis being on achieving realism
in their work – one of the most important qualities for
painting both trompe l’oeil and animal
portraits.
Her equestrian paintings can also be seen
on www.equestrianartists.co.uk
the website for the Society of Equestrian Artists.
