Janet Shearer has been painting and drawing all her life, fortunately inspired by an artistic family background. She studied Fine Art at Kingston Art School then had several one-woman shows in the 70s and 80s in London and Cornwall also having paintings accepted for the Royal Academy Summer Show in 1981.
During her scenic art and mural painting career she has consistently sold her work privately and done countless commissions.
Her love of animals and nature has inspired all her paintings and her interest in horses is obvious in a large proportion of her work.
